Interview with SL Herald

A couple of weeks ago I did an interview with Emerie Mauric of the SL Herald.

Today, they ran the interview and in spite of a little choppy editing at the bottom, it's quite good. We talked a little about my fashion work and a fair bit about my work with the FFRC.

Fashion show today & new releases

Today is the day of my fashion show at Belles N Bratz mall and I'm so excited! I've got four great models lined up and will be showing 7 outfits, some favorites and some new designs I'm releasing today.

I'm most excited about my Hydrangea dress, though, which I painted 100% by hand with my new (still the love of my life) tablet.

I'm also planning to have a meet & greet back at my store after the show.

Flexiprims!

The one good thing about this grid attack is that it got me onto the preview grid finally, and oh my gods will flexiprims be the new hotness in design. I can't wait to see what some of the top hair and dress designers come up with!

That having been said, they're definitely going to bring their own sets of challenges. We won't be saying goodbye to glitch pants or a stray knee poking out of our long skirts here and there.

Still. Eeee!

Graphics Tablet

I got my first graphics tablet in the mail on Monday, and let me tell you, someone will prying the Wacom pen from my cold, rigid hand when I die. It's a Wacom Graphire 3 4x5, and is the smallest, consumer-grade tablet available from Wacom, which is the industry leader in graphics tablets. It cost me $60 on eBay and I highly recommend it as a first tablet. The feature set is a good, basic set, but its size and fewer features than the Intuos really bring down the price.

Grand Opening a Huge Success!

The grand opening of the Designs by ~* Adri *~ main store was a huge success! There were over 30 people in and out of the store throughout the 3 hour event, and a core group of around 10 partying on the terrace the whole way through.

I made many sales and even more new friends! Thanks everyone who came and made the party such a success. I'd like to extend a special thank you to DJ Steeplechase of SimKast radio who kept us all so entertained throughout the event, and to Valerie McDunnough, who served as an on-site model and greeter.
